What an appropriate day for a hard working man to pass on. World War II Veteran, Angelo Escovedo passed on September 3, 2018, at the age of 93. Angelo was born March 4, 1925, in Marysville, CA.

He is predeceased by his wife Ester, two brothers and two sisters.

He is survived by his son, Robert Escovedo (Barbara) of Yuba City; his daughter, Patricia Escovedo (Jim) of Yuba City: his companion of thirty years, Katherine Hubbard of Yuba City; numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; two sisters and two brothers.

Angelo was member of the Knights of Columbus, Fourth Degree. He was a member of VFW and Boy Scouts of America. He was proud of the United States of America and his service in the U.S. Army.

Angelo worked in construction laying pipe for numerous years. He worked constructing the Oroville Dam and missile silos in the Sutter Buttes, until he obtained a job with Marysville Public Works. After retirement, he continued to work with the City, often without pay, maintaining the city parks.

Viewing will be held at Lipp and Sullivan Mortuary, 629 D St., Marysville, CA, on Thursday, September 6, 2018 from 2:00PM to 7:00PM. Rosary will be held at 7:00PM. Services will be Friday, September 7, 2018, at 11:30AM at St. Joseph Church, Marysville, CA. Burial will be at Sierra View Cemetery.
