Born on February 21, 1922, in Ingolstadt, Germany, Anna Elizabeth Conant, passed away on November 2, 2018, at the age of 96. She immigrated with her family in 1925, arriving at Ellis Island, and settled in Philadelphia. Her parents Albert and Anna Schillinger had six children, four born in the US.

Ann graduated from Abington Nursing School in 1944, was commissioned as an officer in the Navy, and stationed at a Naval hospital at St. Ablans, New York. After WWII, she worked as a nurse.

In 1950 she was called back to service for the Korean War, stationed in Japan. While at an officers' club in Yokohama, Lieutenant Anna Schillinger met her future husband, Commander Ernest "Bud" Conant. They were married in Japan in 1952.

Following their tour of duty, they settled in Rio Oso, where Bud's family farmed, and raised their family. Ann enjoyed family gatherings, gardening, playing bridge, golfing (she once hit a hole-in-one), and socializing with friends. She and Bud traveled extensively in their later years. She continued to travel after Bud passed away in 1987.

Ann is preceded in death by her husband Bud; sister, Margaret; and brothers, Fred; and Rich. She is survived by her eldest and youngest brothers, Albert Schillinger of Phoenix, AZ; and Ralph Schillinger of Lancaster, PA; along with her children, Ernest (Kathy); Joe (Josina); Tim; Mat (Lorene); and Lisa Mort (Dan); along with 13 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.

The Rosary will be Thursday, November 15, 2018, 7 pm, at Lipp and Sullivan, Marysville. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, November 16, 2018, 10 am, at St. Boniface Church, Nicolaus; burial Rio Oso; followed by a reception at Peach Tree Country Club, Marysville.
