Master Sergeant Anthony T. Okroi (Tony) 76, passed on June 26th, 2011 in Marysville from Alzheimer's. Tony was born to Hattie & Anthony Okroi Sr. on September 12th, 1934 in Chicago, Illinois. Tony joined the Air Force in 1952, served in Korea and Vietnam. He retired in 1974 at Beale AFB. Tony was extremely proud to be an American, and to have served his country, the United States of America. Following his retirement from the Air Force, Tony worked for the MJUSD as an electrician, retiring in 1993. After retiring from MJUSD he packed up his wife Sophie and moved to Moorcroft, Wyoming. He enjoyed the outdoors, collecting coins, photography, hunting, going to the casino with his wife Sophie and teasing his grandchildren, in which he was very good at. He will be extremely missed by his family & friends. Tony is survived by his wife of 56 years, Sophie of Marysville; 3 children, Debbie Clement (Steve) of Marysville, Pat Okroi (Judy) of South Dakota, Liz Langley of Marysville; 9 grandchildren, Corey, Casey, Stevey Clement, Greg Hauser, Nikki Jo Copeland all of Marysville, Shannon Mick (Pat) of Kelseyville, Josh & Laura Okroi of Brea, and Jessica Hayes of Connecticut; 4 great- grandchildren Steven Lee Gladden, Kiera Antoinette Mick of Kelseyville, Wyatt Okroi of Brea, Madison & Tommy of Connecticut; a sister Delores Lukes of Huntington Beach. He was preceded in death by his parents Hattie & Tony Okroi, Sr, a daughter, Toni Morris. A Rosary will be held 2pm on Friday 7/1/11 at Lipp & Sullivan, 629 "D" Street, Marysville. Our family would like to thank all who kept Tony and his family in their thoughts and prayers. His weary hours and days of pain; His troubled nights are past; And in our aching hearts we know; He has found sweet peace at last.
