Chris was raised in Northern California, and more specifically Wheatland. She graduated from Wheatland High School in 1951, where she met Lowell Muck, marrying him in Sparks, Nevada on October 27, 1951. They celebrated 53 years of marriage. Chris and Lowell shared two daughters, Susan and Jeanie. Chris and Lowell relocated to Culver City, California with their two girls, in 1959 where she worked in a local bank, while Lowell went to Electrical School. After a year, the family moved back to Wheatland, where she was a full-time cook and cafeteria manager at Wheatland High School for many years. Chris enjoyed boating, fishing, and traveling with her husband in their RV. Chris really enjoyed cooking and spending time with her cats. She also devoted herself to being a caretaker to her late Mother, and, more recently, her beloved friend John Pointer.
In addition to her parents, Chris is preceded in death by her husband, Lowell.
Chris is survived by her loving sister, Mary Lou Jacobson (Alexander) and husband Patrick and her two children daughter Marianne and son Eric, all of Nevada; daughters Susan Marie Muck of Wheatland, California, and Jeanie Tracy and husband Gregory of Sacramento, California; Grandchildren Duane Stevens of Chico, California, Leia Mayer and husband Andrew of Nokomis, Florida, Julia Jeys of Wheatland, California; and 9 great grandchildren Elijah, Valen, McKenna, Dylan, Aidynn, Trevor, Kindle, Corbin, and Sophia.
In keeping with her wishes, she will be cremated with no services. She will be laid to rest in the Wheatland Cemetery. Donations may be given on her behalf to Fieldhaven, a cat rescue organization.
