Clarice P. Heenan, born June 13, 1927 in Ottawa, Kansas, passed away February 2, 2012 at Rideout Hospital while surrounded by her loving family. Clarice was the youngest child of H. Everett and Winifred Markham, and was preceded in death by her son Craig Lloyd, and her siblings William, Bud, and Elnora. She graduated from Ottawa Senior High in 1945.

A resident of Live Oak for over 60 years, she was a long time employee of the Bank of America, and served as the Operations Manager in Live Oak and Colusa. She retired after 21 years of service in November 1988. She loved to fish and most weekends could be found on the Feather and Sacramento rivers hoping to land a record setting salmon, steelhead, or whatever other fish were in the area. Her 40 pound striped bass has long been mounted on a wall in her home. She was also an avid card player and played Pinochle with the same group of women for over 40 years, as well as with close friends at her kitchen table.

She was also a devoted fan of the San Francisco 49ers, and watched Steve Young's final game from the stands during the 1999 Week 3 Monday Night Football game against the Arizona Cardinals.

Clarice had many friends and enjoyed spending time with them. As anyone who has every dropped by her home knows, she loved good food and was happy to share whatever was on the stove. She was well liked, highly respected, and not shy about letting someone know what was on her mind.

She is survived by her life partner, Henry Chan; her daughters, Katherine Heenan and Karen Sindelar; grandchildren: Shelby, Jesse, Jay, Chad and Shawn; son-in-law Thomas Dooley; and daughter- in-law, Fai Lloyd.

A celebration of Clarice's life will be held at the Life Oak Community Center, 10200 'O' Street, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Tuesday, February 7th. All are welcome.
