Obituary

Dale Nieschulz, 74, passed away peacefully into the arms of his Lord Jesus on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, not far from his home in Arboga, California, in the company of loved ones.

Dale was born in 1948 to Ottmer and Susanna Nieschulz in Sutter County, California. He attended Marysville High School (class of '67), where he met his wife, Susan. Dale attended CSU Sacramento in pursuit of a career in banking and finance. When his family ranch needed help, Dale went on to continue the family trade as a third-generation rancher in Yuba County.

First and foremost, he was a devoted father and husband to his family that loved him dearly. He worked tirelessly to provide for the security and well-being of his loved ones. He was always quick to share his time listening to problems, offering counsel, helping with repairs, or just visiting and celebrating with his family.

During his life Dale was always an active member in his church. His faith was his highest guide in life, and he guided his family and countless others spurring them toward a deeper relationship with their Lord. In his final years Dale was honored to be an elder at Gateway Calvary Chapel in Marysville.

His hobbies included landscaping and gardening, taking care of his family orchard, and countless home improvements and renovations. He was known for frequently hosting great holiday celebrations throughout the years for his family and friends where all were made to feel welcome. He instilled a love for camping trips and traveling to Lake Almanor, where his campfire stories would live on in legend for his whole family. Despite all the trials of life, Dale could often be found with a smile on his face and was always lightening the hearts of others with his sense of humor. He was a hard-working man all his life and could fix or repair just about anything.

Dale is survived by his wife of 52 years, Susan Nieschulz, his daughter, Melissa Hocking, his son, Michael Nieschulz (wife Rachael), and five grandchildren.

Dale is also survived by his sister Marilyn Edwards.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents, Ottmer and Susanna Nieschulz, and his brother Loyd Nieschulz.

Dale was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He will be remembered for his love and devotion to his family and friends.
