Danny Thompson, 82, of Marysville, CA, passed away peacefully at home on January 26, 2025.

Danny was born on September 8, 1942 in Clarkson, KY. He graduated from Grayson County Catholic High School in 1961 and joined the U.S. Air Force. He retired as a Master Sergeant after 24 years of service.

He then went to work for the U.S Postal Service, and worked 24 years as an electrics tech.

Danny was an active member of St. Joseph's Catholic Parish since 1968. He was a 4th Degree Knight and held many positions with knights of Columbus over the years.

Survivors include his daughters, Vickie R (Marcus Moore) of West Haven, UT, Brenda K. (Randy Lee) of Poulsbo, WA; grandson, Brett Thompson (Bridgette); great-grandsons, Jameson and Decker of Marysville, CA; brother, Randy Thompson (Jean) of Bowling Green, KY.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Judy M. Thompson; his parents, Roy F. and Elizabeth Thompson; brothers, Howard and Raymond Thompson; and sisters, Jerline Peerce, and Barbara Thompson.

Visitation will begin at 2 PM, followed by a Rosary at 7 PM, Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at Lipp and Sullivan Chapel, 629 D. St, Marysville, CA.

Mass of Christian Burial is at 11 AM Thursday, February 13, 2025, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 223 8th St. Marysville, CA, with reverend Michal Olszewski officiating, followed by interment at Sierra View Memorial Park in Olivehurst, CA.
