Donald Wilson Jackson, 78, of Wheatland, CA passed away April 11, 2012. He was born March 8, 1934 in Plymouth, New Hampshire and has been a Yuba- Sutter resident since 1959.

Donald retired from the U.S. Air Force after serving for 24 years. He then worked for the Marysville Post Office, from which he retired after 20 years of service.

He was a member of the Wheatland Community Fellowship Church in Wheatland. Donald was also a Vietnam War Veteran.

Donald is survived by his wife: Carolyn "Kay" Jackson, Wheatland, CA; sons: Lane Jackson, Yuba City, CA & Todd Jackson, Marysville, CA; step-son: Ernie Thompson, Wheatland, CA; brother: Charles Jackson, Hurst, TX; sister Peggy Schaefer, NY; 12 grandchildren & 6 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife: Maurine Jackson; daughter: Ladene Barngrover; brother: Bruce Jackson; sister: Jeanett Salvato; and grandson: Michael Barngrover.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at the Wheatland Community Fellowship Church in Wheatland with Pastor John Burns Officiating.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Lipp and Sullivan Chapel.

Burial will be held at Sutter Cemetery in Sutter, CA.
