Doris Hess devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away peacefully September 15, 2013 in her home in Wheatland surrounded by her family members.

Doris is survived by her daughters Debbie Panteloglow and Sharon Duley and their husbands Larry Sr. and Rick; 2 grandchildren, Larry Jr. & Paul Panteloglow, and five great grandchildren Nadira, Nathaniel, Skylar , Daniel and Damien Panteloglow; and a sister Lorraine Hauglid of St. Paul , Minnesota.

Doris was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Robert C. Hess.

Bob and Doris met in Roswell, New Mexico. Bob was in the Air Force and for twenty three years they led the life of a military family. Her true calling was being the ultimate homemaker, creating a vibrant family living for her entire family. She loved to cook, sew, read, and entertain. In her later years, when adapting to a slower pace, she became an avid reader and watching games shows.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, September 20 at the First Christian Church, 215 Main St. in Wheatland. A celebration of life reception will be held for family and friends at First Christian Church.
