Irene B. Arostegui,76, of Marysville, CA passed away November 18, 2011 at Rideout Hospital. Irene was born January 16, 1935 in Crockett, CA. She was a Yuba-Sutter resident since 1959.

Irene graduated from Carquinez Elementary School in 1948 and from John Swett High School in 1952. She attended Providence College of Nursing and graduated in 1955 with her R.N. degree.

She worked at Providence College of Nursing before and after graduation. She married her husband of 54 years on May 22, 1957 in Crockett, CA. She worked at the Monterey Hospital from 1958- 1959 as an R.N. She then moved to Marysville in March of 1959 where she began working as an R.N. at Rideout Hospital. She continued working there for over 49 years. Irene was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Marysville, CA.

Survivors include her husband, Jaime Arostegui of Marysville, CA; son, Jim Arostegui (Susan) of Marysville, CA; daughter, Carol Minetti (Vic) of Arboga, CA; sister, Begonia Triglia of Crockett, CA; Grandchildren: Nicole Arostegui, Steven Arostegui, Tressa Arostegui, Sydney Minetti and Gemma Minetti.

A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at Lipp and Sullivan Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Marysville, with Father Godwin Xavier officiating. Visitation will be at 2:00 PM until the Rosary on Tuesday at Lipp and Sullivan Chapel. Burial will be at Sierra View Memorial Park, Olivehurst, CA.

Contributions may be made to St. Joseph's Church or to the Fremont-Rideout Heart Center.
