James Baker Johnson, Sr.,71, of Salinas, CA passed away at Natividad Medical Center on November 29, 2011. He was born on July 4, 1940 in Durham, North Carolina. He is a former Marysville resident and was a Lumber Grader for 15 years.

Survivors include his wife Bertha A. Johnson of Marysville, CA; sons, James Baker Johnson, Jr., and Larry Johnson both of Marysville; daughters, Mary Huett (David) and Belinda Johnson (Sean), both of Marysville; sister, Patsy Johnson of Butner, North Carolina, eight grandchildren, three great grandchildren and his companion, Marie Duerksen of Salinas, CA.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 5, at Lipp and Sullivan Chapel with Reverend Isaac Riley officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 4, 2011 at Lipp and Sullivan Chapel.
