Jamie Landon Payne's passing was declared on July 23, 2016. Born in Yuba City on October 12, 1974, Jamie was a lifelong resident of the Yuba-Sutter area and is a 1993 graduate of Yuba City High School.

He is survived by his mother Cheryl Giyer of Meridian and his father Donald Payne of Yuba City; a brother Jeremy L. Payne of Meridian; a nephew Jeremy Payne II; a niece Madilyn Barnes-Wiley; and a great nephew Zander Payne. He also leaves behind a multitude of family members scattered across the nation.

Jamie had many friends throughout his life and will be missed by all. His lifelong passion for nature, critters, and the freedom of the great outdoors are well known. However, after speaking with those who knew him the longest, it is easy to say that he will be remembered most as the smartest guy we knew.

A gathering will be held for those who wish to remember him on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at 1:00 pm. This will take place at the Jacobs Memorial Lion's Clubhouse in Meridian, CA. The Lion's Club is located on the corner of Central Street. and Meridian Road. All are welcome to attend.
