Jerry Joseph Garcia, 73, of Wheatland, CA, passed away on November 24, 2015. Jerry was a life long resident of Wheatland born on July 24, 1942 in Niles, CA.

He was a logger and in his spare time, he loved to work on his ranch with his wife of 52 years, Marlene. He enjoyed working with their cows and sheep. He mostly enjoyed being around and spending his time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife Marlene A. Garcia of Wheatland, CA; son Joel Garcia (Lynnette) of Wheatland, CA; daughter Johanna Lassaga (Al) of Wheatland, CA; brothers Bobby Garcia (P.J.) of Marysville, CA, and Andrew "Butch" Garcia (Wynona) of Washington; grandchildren Emma, Tessa and Jenna Garcia, Jade and Jarrett Lassaga, and Cole and Sophia Tyler.

Preceded in death by a daughter Julie Tyler and his parents Andrew and Irma Garcia.

Visitation from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M., Thursday, December 3, 2015, at Lipp and Sullivan Chapel.

Services will be held on 11:00 A.M., Friday, December 4, 2015, at Lipp and Sullivan Chapel with Pastor John Burns, of the Wheatland Community Fellowship Church of God, officiating.

Burial at Wheatland Cemetery in Wheatland, CA. A reception will follow.
