Deacon Jesus M. Munoz, 73, our beloved father, grandfather, brother and friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family after a long battle with Multiple Myeloma.
Deacon Munoz was born in Teocaltiche, Jalisco and has been a Yuba County resident for almost 40 years. He worked as a farm mechanic in the area for over 30 years.
A man of great faith and goodness, who touched the lives of many, Jesus was ordained as a permanent Deacon in 1992, for the Diocese of Sacramento. He served at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Marysville.
He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Enriqueta; his children, Leticia (Jose), Victor, Veronica (Brandon), and Laura (Montrell); his grandchildren, Elissa, Bianca, Anthony, Victor, Mark, JJ, Leo, Miguel, Marissa and Sean; his great-grandchildren Dante, Dominique and Elaunie; his brothers, Juan and Ernesto and sister Sara; and many caring nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
Visitation will be Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at Lipp & Sullivan Funeral Home from 2:00 pm - 5:30 pm with a Rosary following at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Marysville at 7:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, January 7, 2016 at 10:00 am at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Graveside services to follow at Sierra View Memorial Park in Olivehurst, CA.
