Jesus P. Rodriguez passed away peacefully at home on 03/02/2017 at the age of 78. He was surrounded by his loving wife Guadalupe Rodriguez of 54 years, his two sons Jesus Rodriguez Jr. (Arcelia) of Olivehurst and Robert Rodriguez (Deanna) of Yuba City and his two daughters Maria Olga Rodriguez (Rigo) and Leticia Wofford (Aaron) of Olivehurst. His nine grandchildren, Cynthia, Michelle, Natalie, Kaylie, Kareena, Alix, AJ, Anthony, and Andrew and one great-grandchild, Noah.

Other survivors include his six brothers, Fidel Rodriguez (Isidra), Manuel Rodriguez (Irma), Juan Rodriguez and Reyes Rodriguez of Olivehurst, Adolfo Rodriguez (Valerie) of Citrus Heights and Antonio Jr. Rodriguez (Armida) of Coalinga; two sisters, Chavela Reynoso of Marysville and Guadalupe Rodriguez (Raul) of Olivehurst and sister-in-law, Valentina Rodriguez and multiple nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Antonio and Crecencia Rodriguez, his brother Raul Rodriguez, his niece Olivia McComas and nephews Juan Angel Rodriguez and Jerardo Rodriguez.

Jesus was born in Silao, Guanajuato Mexico on 12/7/1938. He was raised in Mexico but came to the United States as a teenager where he worked as a farm laborer up until his illness 2 years ago. Jesus also worked as a forest fire fighter for 2 years from 1973-74 but decided to stay closer to home to raise his family. Family was the most important thing to him working at an early age to provide for his wife and children and to be able to give to others. These strong values were instilled into his children. He left this life living a life of purpose, perseverance and respect.

Jesus you were a loving husband, great father and father-in-law, beloved grandfather, brother and a greater role model. There will never be another one to replace you in our hearts.

Services will be as follows: Viewing on Wednesday, 03/08/2017 from 4-6 pm at Lipp & Sullivan. Rosary at 7:00 pm at St. Josephs Catholic Church. Thursday, 03/09/2017 Church Service at 11:00am at St. Josephs Catholic Church followed by burial at Sierra View Cemetery.
