Joan F. Conley, dedicated, wife mother and caregiver, went to be with Jesus on August 21, 2011 in Marysville, CA, after a courageous battle with cancer. Joan was 78 years old and was born on September 29, 1932 in Bridgeport, OK, to parents James and Hetty Hill. Joan and her husband, Hugh Edward Conley shared their time together between Cabool, Missouri, and Marysville, California. Joan was the caretaker for her disabled son for 17 years. She is survived by her children Mary Kay and her husband Ted of Marysville, Hugh Conley Jr. and his wife Beth of Yuba City, Nadine Bailey and her husband Walter of Anderson, Roberta Holden and her husband Mike of White City, Oregon, Barbara Ward and her husband, Steve of Marysville, Eric Conley of Washington, Lahoma Robertson and her husband Fred of Willows, and her daughter-in-law, Juanita Smotherman of Marysville, 33 grandchildren, 39 great- grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild on the way. Joan is preceded in death by her sons Aaron Lance Conley and Russell Steven Smotherman, father James Balis Hill, mother Hetty Ophelia Short, 9 brothers, and 2 Sisters. Services for friends and family will be held on Friday, August 26, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at North Valley Calvary Chapel, 613 Bogue Road, Yuba City, CA 95991.
