Joan Essary 75, of Marysville, CA, passed away September 6, 2011. Born January 16, 1936 in Marysville, CA. A lifetime resident of the Yuba- Sutter area. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church-Marysville, CA. Survivors include sons: David Essary of Yuba City, CA, and Brian Essary of Rio Oso, CA; daughters: Leann Weldon of Arboga, CA, Karen Essary of Truckee, CA, and Laura Lewis of Citrus Heights, CA; 13 grandchildren, & one great grandchild. Preceded in death by her husband Will Essary; parents Leo and Emma McGowan; her infant daughter Linda Kay Essary; brother David Leo McGowan, and sister Joyce Ramsdell. Services will be held at 12 Noon Monday, September 12, 2011 at the First United Methodist Church in Marysville, CA, with Pastor Glen Raley officiating. Burial will be at the Sutter Cemetery in Sutter, CA.
