Joe Pete Payan, born February 21, 1933 in Weed, California, passed peacefully July 24, 2009 in Marysville, California. Joe will be remembered for achieving his personal goals: becoming an owner/operator of his own big rig truck, thus being his own boss for many years; for providing for his family; and for passing on his tremendous work ethic. Joe was a proud man, most certainly of his children; Julie, Michael, JoAnne and grandchildren; Ana and Cameron. The family wishes to thank all of those who lent Dad a hand, ran an errand for him, checked up on him and shared the gift of time, listening to his trucking days stories. Until we meet on that Great Interstate in the heavens: Keep on Truckin!
