John Sodaro was a friend to all and a mentor to many. He passed away September 12, 2021, in Flagstaff, Arizona, surrounded by his loving wife and his four devoted children, he was 70.

Born December 12, 1950, in San Jose to Carmela and Tom Sodaro. He was born into a strong Italian, Catholic farming family, rich in tradition. In 1960, he and his family moved to Marysville where they established their family ranch, Sodaro Orchards. He continued to carry out theses traditions when he met his wife Jody, and started their own family in District 10.

Educated at Notre Dame school, Anna McKenney School, Saint Mary's High School and Cal Poly University where he majored in Ag Business Science.

He was an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Peach Bowl Lions Club and The Amici Italian Club.

His memory will be kept alive by his adoring wife, Jody Sodaro, his four children: daughter - Sara (Josh) Baggett, of Marysville, CA; son - Tommy (Randi) Sodaro, of Discovery Bay, CA; daughter - Jennifer Sodaro, of Yuba City, CA; son - Johnny (Megan) Sodaro, of Marysville, CA; as well as nine grandchildren that he absolutely adored.

Family and friends are invited to services. Viewing at Lipp and Sullivan, Marysville, Wednesday, September 22, 2021, from 2pm to 6pm. Rosary to follow at 7pm at St. Joseph Church. Funeral services at St. Joseph Church Thursday, September 23, 2021, at 12:00. Graveside services at Sierra View Cemetery.

He was a loving father, grandfather, and friend who will be greatly missed but his legacy will continue on forever.
