Karen Kaye (Hance) Sauermilch, born March 20, 1948 in Gustine, CA, went to be with the Lord July 20, 2016.

Karen was a creative and giving person. She loved making gifts for others and spent hours decorating cookies for class parties and holidays. She was sharing and funny. She would tell stores of her family and childhood. Her laughter and smile were contagious. She was also very loving, compassionate and forgiving. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. She always found a way to make you feel good when you were at your worst. She will be deeply missed.

Karen is survived by her husband, Michael Sauermilch; children, Tracy Foote, Troy Ohls, Regina Brito, Rolinda Cole, Rebecca Mason, Kelie Duerksen; brothers, Phil Hance and John Hance; 29 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held today, August 4, 2016 at 1pm at Victory Outreach Church, 523 J Street, Marysville.
