March 6, 1985 - August 21, 2021

Kristyn Michelle "Kaptain" Kurz, 36, passed away August 21, 2021. She was a nurse, caregiver and lifelong Yuba-Sutter resident. She loved hard and played hard and will be deeply missed by all.

Kristyn is survived by her mother Kathyrn Posey-Clement, a sister Melissa Overmire, nieces Mariyah Cecil and Anndreena Johnson and a nephew Jackson Overmire-Posey, a cousin Sarah Posey, as well as other family members on her paternal side.

She was preceded in death by maternal grandparents Richard and Julia Posey, as well as her father Robert P. Kurz, Jr.

Services are open to all who Kristyn touched. Please join us for a viewing, a chance to say your final good-byes and a short Catholic prayer on Friday, September 3, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Lipp & Sullivan.

A celebration of her life will be on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at 1608 Sampson Street, Marysville. We will gather and view her life with a presentation and a few short words. Immediately following we will gather and share stories and our favorite memories. The family asks to please bring your favorite story, your favorite dish and or beverage to share. The Kaptain has set sail.
