Larry Panteloglow Sr., 69, of Wheatland, passed away July 16, 2018, at the South Sac Kaiser Hospital after a long illness. Larry was born in Rock Springs, WY, April 13, 1949, and has been a Wheatland resident since 1968.
Larry graduated from Wheatland High School. After graduating, Larry and Debbie moved to Larry's home town of Green River, WY. They lived there for six months then returned to Wheatland for the remaining years of his life.
Larry was employed with Beale AFB for 35 years in the Civil Engineers Dept. Upon retirement from Beale AFB, Larry was hired by the City of Wheatland as Public Works Director for 19 years. Due to his illness he had to retire. He loved his city, his job, and the many people he interacted with.
Larry dedicated his spare time to fishing, hunting and Little League Baseball. He was manager and coach for the South Sutter Little League and Wheatland Little League. Every baseball season for 20 plus years you would see his smiling face working with his boys. He enjoyed every minute of it.
Survivors include his wife, Debbie Panteloglow, married for 51 years; two sons, Larry Jr. (Heather) and Paul Panteloglow; five grandchildren, Nadira, Nano, Skylar, Daniel and Damien Panteloglow; two great-grandchildren, Eric and Sora DeCoteau; two brothers, Tommy and Frank Panteloglow; two sisters, Lupita Rodriques and Mary Benge.
Larry is preceded in death by his mother, Gloria Panteloglow; father, Tom Panteloglow; and his loving brother, Jimmy Wayne Panteloglow.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 25, 2018, beginning at 1:00PM at Wheatland Christian Church, 215 Main St., following with a catered Celebration of Life at the Wheatland Community Center, located on C St.
We will forever miss his passion for life, always trying to make you laugh, and his love and care for his family and friends.
