Lavola Jean Mills Porter's Obituary
Lavola Jean Porter, age 90, went to be with her Heavenly Father on April 2, 2012. She was born in Cleveland, Arkansas, September 12, 1921.
She is survived by her loving husband, Robert "Bob" Porter; a son, Donald D. Reid; a daughter, Aloma L. "Jerri" Akins; and a sister, Joyce Campbell of Cleveland Arkansas; three step-children, four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her loving husbands Cova D. Reid, Lawrence W. Harrison; a daughter Tamara L. Reid Palmer; her parents; and 5 brothers and 5 sisters.
Memorial services will be at the Crossroads Community Church, April 9, 2012 at 10:00AM, with Pastor Jim Clark Officiating. Burial will follow at the Sutter Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Crossroads Community Church Building Fund 445 B Street, Yuba City, CA 95991 are requested. Per request of the family there will be no viewing. Arrangements are under the direction of Lipp and Sullivan Funeral Home 629 D Street, Marysville, CA.
