Obituary

Leopoldo Daniel "aka Leo, Paul" Longoria, 46, of Marysville, CA, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on February 6, 2022. Leopoldo was a lifelong resident of Marysville, CA. He was born April 29, 1975, at USAF Hospital, Beale AFB, CA, to Angelita and Leopoldo Longoria.

Leo graduated in 1993, from Marysville High School. While in high school Leo was active in JROTC for 4 years and active in the Academic Decathlon team. He then attended Yuba College, went to work as a security guard for businesses in the Lincoln and Woodland areas in CA. Then he became a mental health worker at North Valley in Yuba City, CA, where he enjoyed working, caring, and helping people. He had such a big heart and a great smile.

Leo loved participating in war gaming groups, dancing, singing karaoke, playing musical instruments by ear like the guitar, drums and the accordion, going to concerts, barbecuing, cooking Italian and Chinese food and attending classic movie showings.

His hobbies were traveling, reading, going to games and hobby shops, drawing, playing board games, painting his miniature soldiers, collecting board games and comic books.

Leo started a post on his Facebook called "Leo's Night Comfort Theater", where he would give 2 to 3 suggestions of movies to watch and short summary of the movies. He was a true Renaissance man.

Leo loved to laugh. He was devoted father and enjoyed spending time with his children, family and friends. Even though our hearts are broken and he will be greatly missed, it eases us to know our memories of him will live on in our hearts knowing him.
