Leslie Blaine "Buttons" Crook II, passed away peacefully in his home on May 3, 2017 at the age of 70. He was surrounded by his wife and all three of his children.

Les was born April 23, 1947 to Hobart and Jean Crook of Marysville. A graduate of Marysville High School. Les enlisted with the United States Navy and served his country during the Vietnam War. Upon returning home, he earned his Bachelors degree in communications from UC Stanislaus and enjoyed a long career in radio broadcasting and advertising. His hobbies included houseboating, fishing, hunting, skiing, and camping with his family.

Les is survived by his wife, Debora Crook, daughters Heather Ormosen and Monica Banuelos, his son, Blaine Crook and seven grandchildren, Elexis, Emily, Cody, Britany, William, Abigail and Brandon.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Lipp & Sullivan. A service will be held on Thursday, May 11 at 11 am at Bible Baptist Church, 2787 North Beale Road, Marysville.

A reception will follow at BPOE Elks Lodge, 920 D St., Marysville.
