Obituary

Alice "Louise" Noble was born on February 24, 1928, in Fresno, CA, to Mary and George.

Arriving right before the Great Depression, her family struggled to survive as farmers in the area and moved to Gilroy, CA, when she was 13.

In high school, her fortunes changed, as she met Don Ketchum, the love of her life. After he returned from his Navy service, they married in 1948.

Soon, Don took a job in Yuba City, CA, to work for a feed store, and they relocated to the area. A year later, they bought a home in Marysville, CA, and had their first child, Edward (Tina), followed by Ric, Claudia (Gary), Lester (Connie), Roger (Briana), Carol, and Cheri.

Her children attended Marysville or Lindhurst High School from 1963 to 1989. She supported them in all their hobbies, assisting as a leader, or cheering fan of Scouts, 4-H, and sports.

Outside of child-rearing and household maintenance, Louise was an eager traveler and camper, a wise investor, sharp accountant, generous philanthropist, and gifted genealogist.

Louise also loved making crafts and was an avid quilter and crocheter. Additionally, she volunteered in many roles at the local Mormon church.

Her home was always full of music and love for her large family, including 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

She will be missed by all. Per her wishes, a service will be held at the VA Cemetery in Dixon, CA, where she will be reunited with Don.
