Lyle Lee Wilson, 82, passed from this life on July 30 after a short but valiant fight with leukemia.

Lyle was a member of the US Army stations behind a desk while going to various schools where he learned electronics technology which he used all during his career with GE and the US government mainly with Civil Service from which he retired. He traveled to many different countries while he was stationed in Thailand, Spain, Germany and Okinawa where he was fortunate enough to take his family.

Lyle loved to camp and fish, especially at dawn. He loved his job with the airplanes, especially the F104 and the SR71. He loved animals of all kinds and they always seemed to love him and he often ignored the "Do Not Feed the Animals" signs. He loved his family and friends and loved to visit and have them visit him.

Lyle leaves behind his first wife, Katherine (Russell) and two sons, Steven and Mark (Patricia) and three grandchildren and two great- grandchildren. He also leaves behind his second wife, Mona (Hayes) and four stepchildren, Teresa (Kevin), Yvonne (Joe), Russell (Janine) and Daniel and seven step grandchildren and two step great-grandchildren. Lyle and Mona were married on Megan's Bay Beach in St. Thomas in the Virgin Islands and had many memorable trips and cruises, mostly around the US.

A funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church at 7th and C Streets in Marysville on Tues., August 6, at 10 am. Burial will be at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon on Wed., August 7 at 1 pm. Visitation will be on Mon., August 5 from 2 pm until the Rosary at 7 pm at Lipp & Sullivan Chapel.
