Margarita Alcala Lara, 74 of Yuba City, CA passed away at her residence on August 12, 2012. Born June 20, 1938 in Mexico, she was a Yuba Sutter resident for 40 years.

Margarita was a homemaker. She was also a member of St. Isidore's Catholic Church.

Survivors include sons: Guillermo Lara and David Lara, both of Yuba City, CA; daughter, Maria Avalos, of Yuba City; brother, Alberto Alcala, of Yuba City; sisters: Maria Jesus Alcala and Guillermina Alcala, both of Mexico; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband Antonio Lara.

A Rosary will be recited on Thursday, August 16, 2012 at 7:00pm at Lipp and Sullivan Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday, August 17, 2012 at 2:00pm at St. Isidore's Catholic Church in Yuba City, CA. Visitation will be from 2:00pm until the Rosary on Thursday. Burial will be at Sutter Cemetery in Sutter, CA.
