Marjorie Joy Harrison, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, Ti Tia (aunt) and dear friend to all who knew her kindness and inspiration. Her family held her hands as she made her final journey home.

Marjorie was born on March 12, 1947 in San Jose, CA. The oldest of three daughters. She spent her childhood riding horses and exploring the beauty of the Redwood Forests in La Honda, CA.

Excelling at school, Marjorie received scholarships to attend college, becoming a Registered Nurse, specializing in Intensive Care, as a third generation nurse in our family.

She married her high school sweetheart, Kenneth Voris and together blessed the world with her beautiful daughter, Margaret Alexis Mix in March of 1969. Widowed early, she bravely raised her daughter in Browns Valley, supporting her daughter in various social endeavors including 4-H and Jobs Daughters.

Marjorie later married Damon Harrison and the couple enjoyed cruising and social events together.

Marjorie is survived by her daughter, Margaret Alexis Mix, grandson, Devon Akia Mix, son-in-law Joshua Mix, 3 sisters, Mary Ellen Gilbert of Port Angeles, WA, Marsha Amaro of Yuba City and Margo Stockmayer of Miami, FL; her nephews, Mark Amaro and Matthew Amaro, and nieces Morgan Stockmayer and Gabriella Stockmayer and many loving family and friends.

A memorial service is scheduled at 12 noon on Saturday, December 10, 2011 at Lipp and Sullivan Memorial Chapel at 629 D Street. Marysville, CA.
