Mary Rose De Palma, 92, of Marysville, passed away August 30, 2021.
Mary was born to Onofrio and Rosalie De Palma in Campbell, CA, in 1928. She graduated from Campbell High School and later Heald College where she later became an instructor.
Mary and her family moved to Marysville in 1958, where she quickly secured a position with the Yuba County Assessors office, retiring after 20 years of service. In 1978, she began working with her family at De Palma Orchards. Mary worked until her 80th birthday when she decided to retire to an active social life with family and friends.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her brother, Leonard A. De Palma (Earlene); her sister, Leona McGrath (Mike); her nephew, Anthony McGrath (Laura); her great-nephew, Marc McGrath; and great-niece, Rachel McGrath (Casy).
A viewing will be held at Lipp and Sullivan, Marysville, CA, on Tuesday, September 14, 2021, from 2pm-6pm. Rosary and Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, September 15, 2021, at St. Joseph Catholic Church at 10:30 am with Burial at Sierra View Memorial Park immediately following church service.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Catholic Ladies Relief Society 2 or a favorite charity of your choice.
