Matthew Peter Marquard 78, of Marysville, CA, passed away on December 8, 2011 at Marysville Care Center. Born September 22, 1933 in Bronx, New York. A resident of the Yuba-Sutter area since 1968. He was a plumber for 38 years for the Plumbers Union Local 228.

Matthew served in the U.S. Navy and was a Korean War Veteran.

He was a Member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Marysville, CA.

Survivors include his wife, Maggie Marquard of Marysville, CA; sons: Matthew Raymond Marquard of Sacramento, CA, and Michael Marquard of Rifle, CO; daughter, Lori Garner of Lincoln, CA; sister, Roberta Raimo of Bronx, NY; 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Memorial Services will be held at 10:30AM Friday, December 16, 2011 at Lipp & Sullivan Chapel with Father Godwin Xavier of St. Joseph's Catholic Church of Marysville officiating.

Burial will be held at the Sutter Cemetery in Sutter, CA, with Full Military Honors.
