Maximiano Chavez Gonzalez, 61, of Rio Oso, CA, passed away on July 15, 2016 at Ride Out Memorial Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

Max was born in Yahualica, Jalisco to Zenaldo and Maria Justa Gonzalez on February 16, 1955. He went to school at East Nicolaus High School. He married Maria Guadalupe on March 6, 1976. He worked as a farm worker for Adams for 27 years.

Max is preceded in death by his parents Zenaldo and Maria Gonzalez, brother Andres, sister Feliz, and nephew Jorge Palafox. Max is survived by his wife of 40 years, Lupe, his son Max Jr. (Favi), daughter Aracely, brothers Estevan and Ismael Gonzalez, sisters Maria Toche, Rogelia Romo, Olivia Palafox, Ula Vargas and Teresa Gonzalez, grandchildren CJ, Jocelyn, Leo, Alexia and Jovani Gonzalez.

Viewing will be held from 2 p.m.-5 p.m. at Lipp & Sullivan. Rosary will be held 7 p.m. Thursday July 21, 2016 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marysville.

Funeral services will be held at 11a.m. in St. Jospeh Catholic Church on July 22, 2016. Burial will follow at Sierra View Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Lipp & Sullivan.
