Michael Wayne McKinney, 72, of Marysville California, passed away on April 18, 2024, surrounded by his loved ones. He was a genuine, loving, and caring person, dedicated to helping the community and his family. Michael was a hard worker, known for his inspiring personality.

He is survived by his wife, Marjorie McKinney; four children, Tina Moore, Nick Papadopoulos, Trevor McKinney, Amy McKinney; and two stepdaughters, Amanda Wilson and Heather Bartlett. Michael is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, Jason, Taylor, Ryan, Grace, Lilianna, Asher, Ryder, Piper, Carter, Jax, Gavin, Trevor, and Braige; as well as two great-grandchildren, Jaxon and Everleigh. He is also survived by his brother, Ray (Weasel) McKinney; sister-in-law, Rachel McKinney; sister, Donna Weimholt; a dear cousin, Tommie McKinney; and extended family and friends.

Michael was preceded in death by his father, Richard McKinney; mother, Marie Sprague; and brother, Danny (Disco Dan) McKinney; and grandson, Merrick Smith.

He graduated from Marysville High School and went on to have a successful career as a mechanic, truck salesman, sales representative, and life coach. Michael was also a past President of the American Cancer Society, volunteered at the Lions Club, a past President of Olivehurst Linda Little League. He coached youth baseball and enjoyed camping, fishing, and spending time with his family, Michael was a long time Giants and 49ers fan.

A ceremony to celebrate Michael's life will be held on Sunday, May 5, 2024, at 1:30 pm at Olivehurst Linda Little League Park. The event will feature a BBQ potluck and a baseball game in his honor.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Olivehurst Linda Little League in memory of Michael McKinney.
