Obituary

Myrtie was born April 11, 1921 to James Henry and Bertha Sawyer in Strickler, Arkansas. She was one of six children. She married Howard G. Palmer on November 7, 1943. She is survived by two children, Glenda K. Aubrey (Richard) of Colusa, CA and Howard E. (Gene) Palmer (Maxine) of Penn Valley, CA. She is also survived by two grandchildren Cynthia K. Cerney (Michael) of Williams, CA and Rebecca A. Frias (Jesse) of Colusa, Ca. And, she was the proud Great-grandmother of Raymond and MaKayla Frias and Emily and Jacob Cerney.

Myrtie was devoted to all of her family. She lived in Feather Falls, CA when her two children were born. She and Howard lived most of their married life in Marysville, CA. She was a mother and homemaker while her children were young and worked in sales for local businesses for some years. She worked for the Marysville Joint Unified School District in the High School Cafeteria as the Cook Supervisor until her retirement in 1983.

Myrtie loved to travel and made many trips to Arkansas to attend extended family reunions. She traveled with both friends and family and saw much of the U.S.A.

Graveside Services will be held on Friday, October 7, 2011 at 11:00AM at Oroville District Cemetery Oroville, CA.

Funeral Services are under the direction of Lipp & Sullivan Funeral Directors.
