Nicolas Alonzo Castro, 82, of Marysville, passed away on November 2, 2011 at his residence. He was born on January 19, 1929 and was a Yuba Sutter resident for 40 years.

Survivors include his sons, Manuel Castro of New Windsor, Illinois, Luis Castro of Lincoln, Nebraska, Ramon Castro of Bloomington, Illinois, Ismael Castro of Garden City, Kansas and Jesus N. Castro of Marysville, CA; daughters, Josefina Castro of Stafter, CA, Maria Luz Raya of Olivehurst, CA, Amparo Castro of Mexico, Alicia Medina of Garden City, Kansas Maria Castro of Mexico, and Sabrina Castro of Marysville, CA. Also survived by many grand and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Cecilia Castro and son Jesus L. Castro.

A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, November 7, 2011 at Lipp and Sullivan Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 8, 2011 with Father Juan Perez officiating. Visitation will start at 2:00 p.m. until the rosary on Monday, November 7, 2011 at Lipp and Sullivan Chapel. Burial will be at Sierra View Memorial Park in Olivehurst, CA.
