Robert Wayne Foster, 74, of Marysville, passed away on November 20, 2011. He was born on May 8, 1937 in Yuba City and was a lifetime resident of the Yuba-Sutter area.
He was a police officer with the Marysville Police Dept. for 22 years, and member of Past Governor of the Yuba City Moose Lodge.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Phyllis Foster of Marysville; son, Bobby Foster (Melanie) of Marysville; daughters, Kathy Dufore (Rowdy) of Marysville, and Laura Shona (Joe) of Challenge, CA. Grandchildren, Rachelle Christy, Kyle Foster, Rodney Foster, Kirby Foster, Haley Sinn and Chayse Dufore; great grandchildren, Anthony Christy, Travis Christy, Aaron Weaver and Kyler Foster.
Robert worked for the Marysville Police Dept. and retired after 22 years. Prior to that, he worked at the Marysville Fire Dept. After his retirement, he was a route carrier for both the Appeal Democrat and Sacramento Bee, as well as several private security companies.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his family and loved to garden. He spent many years bowling on local bowling leagues. He was a avid San Francisco 49er and Giants fan.
Services will be at 2:30pm on Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at Lipp and Sullivan Chapel with Rev. Isaac Riley officiating. Entombment will be at Sierra View Memorial Park in Olivehurst, CA.
