Steven James Lantsberger was born June 1, 1960 to Joseph and Joann Lantsberger (who preceded him) in Yuba City, CA and left this earth on July 6, 2022 due to complications from his battle with Lymphoma. He is survived by sister Theresa Dwinger (Duane) and Philip Lantsberger (Cathy), nephews and niece: Chris Dwinger; Ashley Martinez Jacob Lantsberger and Tyler Lantsberger; four great nephews and nieces and his dog Daisy.
He found great satisfaction in his career in Economic Development which spanned over thirty-five years beginning in 1986. Steve started as Economic Development Specialist for Yuba County. Steve spent several years working for Tehama Local Development Corporation in Red Bluff. While at TLDC, he was instrumental in helping Tehama County land the first Walmart Distribution Center in CA. He then took his talents to the City of Hesperia and was the Economic Development Director when he returned to Northern California to be closer to family in March 2016. Steve joined San Joaquin County and recently retired as the Economic Development Director. He enjoyed water skiing, golf, hunting and his 1957 Chevy.
Funeral Mass at Saint Michael Catholic Church in Stockton on July 21,2022 at 11 am with reception to follow. Burial will be at the Sutter Cemetery on Friday, July 22, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of Flowers: donations may be made to Chico State School of Business or Stanford Hospital.
