Thelma Jannet Thomas, devoted mother and caregiver, 83, died Thursday, November 12, 2015 at Rideout Hospital with her family by her side.

Thelma was born July 22, 1932 in Sasakwa Siminole County, OK to Jack and Lucille Spray.

She married the love of her life, George Thomas in Fresno, CA. George served in the US Air Force while Thelma was a full time caregiver to her 9 children. George then retired from the military in Fairfield, CA. The family settled for a short time in Fairfield, then moved to Crockett, CA, where George was a mechanic at C & H Sugar. He then retired and they moved to Brownsville, CA.

Thelma was a very loyal, loving, giving, selfless, Godly woman. A woman after God's own heart. She was always helping others in need regardless of the task. She was a true servant. She was a faithful member of the Catholic church where she would volunteer on a regular basis. Thelma was also gifted with a green thumb. She grew beautiful roses, flowers, fruit trees, vegetables, and berries. She would spend her time canning them for her children, multiple grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and friends. Thelma is now reunited with her husband George and son Brian in eternity.

Thelma is survived by her children, Marvin Thomas, James (Jim) Thomas, George D. Thomas, William Thomas, Larry Thomas, Steve Thomas, Timothy Thomas and Marie Eaton; brother Jim Spray; sisters Aline and Della in OK, and nephews, nieces, cousins, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many friends.

Visitation will be on Sunday, November 22, 2015 from 1-6 pm at Lipp & Sullivan Funeral Home at 629 D St., Marysville. Funeral service is Monday, November 23, 2015 at 11 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church on C St. Please join us after service for a celebration of life.
