Obituary

Timothy Robert Harper Sr., affectionately known as Dad, Papa, and Timmy, passed away May 21, 2018. He was known as a family man, a farmer and a friend to all. Timmy was born in Yuba City, CA, on January 26, 1958, to Roy and Pansy Harper. Timmy was the 3rd of 4 children and he was a life-long Yuba-Sutter resident.

Throughout Timmy's life he had a couple of different professions. He was a truck driver for 30 years and a farmer for many. Early in life he worked for Harry Johnson as a truck driver and sugar beet farmer. Later he worked for Art Wilson Trucking with his Dad for a number of years, as well as for Billy Middleton, Lindeman Bros. Inc., and VA Farms, but most recently he was self-employed and working closely with his boys (Harper Enterprise) in the farming industry doing what he loved with those that he loved.

Timmy was known to be somewhat of a daredevil as a youngster. He loved to ride motorcycles. Anytime he would take off on a motorcycle with his brother and brother-in-law his mom knew he was going to come back with something hurt or broken. All she could do is pray.

Timmy faithfully visited with his family and shared a morning or evening cup of coffee or glass of iced tea with them. You would hear him come through the door asking "Whatcha y'all doin?" with a big ole grin on his face. Family was always his number one priority, if you needed him, he was always there to help.

Timmy's pride and joy were his 7 grandchildren, Samantha, Savannah, Samuel, Weston, Johnathan, TJ, and Klaire. Timmy was often times seen at football games, little league games, races or 4-H events watching his grand kids do what they loved.

Timmy is survived by his sweetheart (and if you asked Tim, his wife), Gina Wisdom; 3 sons, Jeremiah (Holly) Harper; Timothy (Tina) Harper both of Marysville; and Lanny (Lacey) Harper of Rio Oso; stepdaughter, Tara Dolbear; mother, Pansy Harper of Olivehurst; sister, Sherry (Henry) Dethlefsen; brother, Terry (Karen) Harper both of Rio Oso; brother, Steven Harper of Olivehurst; 7 grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and cousins that were not only family but his friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Roy Harper; grandparents, Albert & Leona (Sanders) Endicott; and Jess & Ethel (Sizemore) Harper.
